In a year that began with a destructive tornado, finished with a massive bombing, and included a pandemic sandwiched in between the two, the city of Nashville and her citizens never lost optimism, hope, or faith that recovery was on the horizon. IQTalent Partners is headquartered on 4th Avenue in downtown Nashville, just two blocks from the Christmas day explosion’s ground zero. And while our building, our office, and all our employees are safe, not everyone is as fortunate. Windows are shattered for blocks, and many historic buildings that house small retail and restaurant businesses are destroyed. However, despite the devastation, Nashvillians remain resilient and continue to celebrate the hashtag “Nashville Strong.” Downtown business owners rely on Tennessee’s volunteer spirit and continue to receive both financial and labor assistance from their neighbors. There is no sense of doubt in their combined optimism that Nashville’s “It City” attitude will be back soon.
IQTalent Partners remains committed to the future prosperity of our home city. “We contribute financially to a local nonprofit each quarter, and I am very grateful we could make a fifth donation this year to help recovery efforts downtown,” explained Francine Levin, Practice Leader and Director of Community Initiatives. “We are supporting The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s Nashville Neighbors Fund and encourage others to do the same.” In addition to financial resources, our employees organize monthly volunteer opportunities throughout Nashville. From creating “RecruitRelief,” a platform for assisting displaced workers, to working on trash removal in parks and public spaces, the IQTP employees believe in rolling up their sleeves for their neighbors.
David Windley, President of IQTalent Partners, added, “Our downtown neighbors remain in our thoughts and prayers. The devastation affects us all, but I am confident we can work together to bring Nashville back to an even more influential and flourishing city than it was before.” Prior to the pandemic, Forbes ranked Nashville the 15th best city for business and careers in the nation, while a POLICOM study ranked it 4th in economic strength. IQTalent Partners officially relocated its headquarters to Nashville in the first quarter of 2019.
“It’s heart wrenching to see this city take another hit,” added Levin. “but I am confident in our community. Nashville will unite to recover and rebuild.”
