IQTalent Partners Inc. driving rapid internal growth in 2019
After a year of fast growth in Nashville, IQTalent Partners Inc. is rapidly expanding its downtown presence and officially naming Music City as our corporate headquarters! In just under 10 years, our recruitment firm has leveled-up – we’ve become incorporated, expanded our office space and added tons of new faces to our team.
We doubled the size of our footprint inside the Fourth & Church building to 24,000 square feet and moved our central operations from Silicon Valley to Nashville. Why? Because Nashville is where IQTalent Partners all began – two undergrads, our co-founders Chris Murdock and Tom Milic, first met at Vanderbilt. That, and we were able to grow our Nashville office from 90 to 150 employees in 2018, and we’re not slowing down any time soon!

In recent years, San Francisco-based companies such as Lyft, PostMates, Eventbrite, KeepTruckin and Greenlight Medical have opened large offices or moved their operations to Music City.
Chris, Tom and the IQTalent Beginning
Our co-founders Chris Murdock and Tom Milic, both Vanderbilt University graduates, opened the Nashville IQTalent office in 2012 with a handful of employees and expectations to grow it to about 35 staff members.
Since then, our company has taken over the 13th floor at Fourth & Church, located at 201 Fourth Ave. N., and renovations are underway on the 16th floor which is slated for completion this March. We will continue to operate a small office in San Francisco, but Nashville is home.
“I never let go of Nashville after graduating from Vanderbilt in 1999,” Chris said. “Although I worked in three different cities, and then founded a company in Silicon Valley, ultimately, I wanted to return to Nashville. The people, the economy, the culture — all of it — just fits the way IQTalent Partners does business.”
As part of the expansion and to improve the way we recruit and source talent, we’ve hired four senior-management positions in technology, human resources, account management and marketing.

Beck is the former Director of Technology at Metova and currently remains an adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University. He earned his master’s degree in computer science from Southern Illinois University.
Kendra Deas, Director of Human Resources
Deas is the former HR Director for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and a graduate of the University of Louisville. She has 15 years of HR and team building experience.
Mark Israel, Director of Account Management and Business Development
Israel is a Talent Acquisition expert with 20 years of experience in recruiting for Fortune 500 companies with a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Purdue University.
Stacie Kinder, Director of Marketing
Kinder is the former Talent and Entertainment Director for the Tennessee Titans with 15 years of experience in marketing and event management and a graduate of the University of Virginia.
